Legacy Innovator Award
The Legacy Innovator Award honours a visionary Manitoban whose bold thinking and long-standing contributions have transformed their field through innovation. This award recognizes decades of leadership, originality, and impact, and celebrates those who have left a lasting legacy in Manitoba’s innovation story.
Award Eligibility
To be eligible for the Legacy Innovator Award, the nominee must:
Be based in Manitoba, have lived in Manitoba within the past three years, or have a body of work that made a significant impact within Manitoba.
Be an individual whose long-standing contributions have transformed their field through innovation.
Demonstrate sustained impact over a significant period of time.
Have agreed to be nominated. Posthumous nominations are accepted with estate or family contact information.
Judging Criteria
Judges for the Legacy Innovator Award will evaluate nominees based on the following:
Depth and longevity of contribution to innovation.
Transformational impact on a sector, community, or Manitoba’s innovation ecosystem.
Evidence of leadership, mentorship, or influence on future innovators.
Alignment with Manitoba’s culture of innovation.

Nomination Requirements

Compelling Summary (max 650 characters) highlighting the nominee’s innovation and impact.

Detailed Nomination (max 3,000 characters) outlining achievements, significance, and measurable outcomes.

High resolution photo of the nominee or team.

Confirmation that the nominee has agreed to participate and understands that, if shortlisted, they will take part in a professional video profile.
