Research to Reality Award
The Research to Reality Award honors a Manitoba-based researcher, academic team, or institutional project that has successfully translated research into real-world impact. This award celebrates knowledge mobilization, commercialization, or implementation of discoveries that improve lives, systems, or communities.
Award Eligibility
To be eligible for the Research to Reality Award, the nominee must:
Be a researcher, academic, or research team based in Manitoba or with research significantly impacting Manitoba.
Demonstrate successful translation of research into real-world market or community applications.
Provide evidence of commercialization, policy adoption, or measurable community benefit.
Have agreed to be nominated.
Judging Criteria
Judges for the Research to Reality Award will evaluate nominees based on the following:
Originality and significance of the research.
Successful application of research into tangible products, services, or societal outcomes.
Evidence of impact on Manitoba’s economy, communities, or innovation ecosystem.
Potential for broader application or scalability.

Nomination Requirements

Compelling Summary (max 650 characters) highlighting the nominee’s innovation and impact.

Detailed Nomination (max 3,000 characters) outlining achievements, significance, and measurable outcomes.

High resolution photo of the nominee or team.

Confirmation that the nominee has agreed to participate and understands that, if shortlisted, they will take part in a professional video profile.
